Allied Extract March 2022 Update
Afghanistan
Thanks to the support of our donors, we evacuated 417 personnel from Afghanistan and supported the evacuation of a further 3177 as part of a national media campaign to apply pressure to allow evacuation flights from Mazar-i-Sharif. The difficult decision was made on the 29th of November 2021 to close our intake and work our current caseload in perpetuity. As long as we have the ability to help, we always will. I want to thank the volunteers still making that happen today. The world may have moved on, but they have not forgotten our promise.
Ukraine
Allied Extract is taking aid the last mile in Ukraine, delivering life sustaining food and medical supplies directly to people under attack. We are providing life-saving training and medical equipment directly to medics and soldiers in the line of fire. We are supplying critical medical supplies to hospitals in Kharkiv and Mariupol. We are sending convoys of non-perishable food and hygiene supplies directly to besieged areas.
Financial update
We remain a volunteer organization. We will update here as that application progresses or as our status changes. To be clear, 100% of funds go directly toward supporting operations, and that will always be the case. Our volunteer staff remain dedicated to helping the people of Afghanistan and other global crises as they emerge. Our board oversees all activities; as a group of licensed professionals (lawyers, police detectives, accountants, tech experts), we all abide to a strict code of conduct.
I wholeheartedly thank each of you who entered journey with us. People who would have otherwise died now live in Freedom and Liberty because of your support. The 417 people we directly rescued will never take those freedoms and liberties for granted. They will become some of our finest.
One family we evacuated had two daughters: a 3 year old and a baby. They were Afghan US embassy staff left behind and sentenced to death by the Taliban. I remember listening to their screams and the surrouding gunfire in the final stages of their terrifying evacuation in Kabul as our team on the ground made it happen. We literally got them on the last US military plane out last August. Now, they send us pictures of them all together in a free America. Instead of watching their father executed by the Taliban, these little girls get to see him push them on the swings. We did that together because of all of you.
Know you were part of history — a crowd funded, decentralized evacuation of our citizens and allies — and when the time came to make a difference, you found a way.
We find a way.
